ABOUT ME
I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley, under the advisement of Prof. Leslea Hlusko. I began my graduate studies in the fall of 2014 after I completed my undergraduate work at UC Berkeley, graduating in May 2014 with a B.A. in Integrative Biology (w/honors) and a B.A. in Anthropology.
My primary research interest is in skeletal variation, particularly how variation is produced and patterned, and how it’s parsed and interpreted in the fossil record. I’ve explored these interests primarily in primates, across Old World monkeys and modern humans.
I am an affiliated student researcher at the Human Evolution Research Center and the University of California Museum of Paleontology, and a student member of the Middle Awash Project.
